Operations Director

Salary £40k + benefits

You are highly organised with a passion for driving operational business change. Enjoy building long lasting honest relationships with people and have a strong focus to achieve high performance goals. You are a resourceful team player with a strong work ethic who is adaptable to various scenarios and will get stuck into any given task. You are experienced in managing and developing teams and enjoy the challenge of a fast paced environment. You have excellent communication skills and a great eye for detail.

Reporting to Managing Director

  • Complete facilities management of all MyWorkSpot sites including:
    • Defining KPI’s to monitor operational success and ensure the company is on track
    • Creation and implementation of operations workbook for all sites
    • Continuation and management of health and safety regulations for the business which are governed by relevant bodies and implement best practice advice
    • Management of operational activities for the business across all sites and identifying areas of business improvement
    • Reporting to MD any areas of operational concern and defining plan of action
    • Identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and systems
    • Management of all external operational supplier contracts 
    • Has site of and management of maintenance budget
    • Management of all our site operation systems e.g. KISI, wifi, Office RND
  • Management of Community Managers
    • Setting benchmark in customer service and the training in systems to maintain consistency
    • Training, supporting, empowering and developing the Community Managers over all sites to deliver fantastic member experience
    • Management of Community Manager projects and tasks
    • Holding 121’s and weekly check ins with Community Managers
    • Management of team’s KPI’s and continuous improvement plan
    • Creating working pattern for lunch cover
    • Report to MD any employee issues
  • Customer Service
    • Working with Community Managers to create the best customer service for our members
    • Upholding the high MWS customer service expectations and ensuring Community Managers are doing the same e.g. tours of the office
    • Being present in both offices and member events to develop member relationships
  • Sales & Events
    • Working with Sales team to understand process and pipeline
    • Upskilling team to create the best tour of a potential customer
    • Overseeing admin and billing processes using Office RND
    • Knowledge of events in both spaces and assigning staff to manage the events
    • Working with marketing team to create a members event calendar and resourcing it effectively

Must Have:

  • Experience in Operations management, preferably a co-working space 
  • People management experience
  • Experience of IT systems and supplier management 
  • Highly motivated and self driven with fantastic organisational skills
  • Methodical and process orientated
  • Great with people/customers
  • Copes well under pressure
  • Be mobile (between sites)
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Nice to have, not essential:

  • Experience of working in a coworking space
  • Experience of working with Office RND, Google workspaces, KISI
